Not all USB-CTM ports support all the features of the USB Type-CTM standard. Make sure that your notebook’s USB-CTM port supports the DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) as well as USB Power Delivery (PD).
The video output capabilities depend on your notebook’s graphics card and the connected monitor. Certain graphics cards have limited MST support while some screens also restrict the available resolution.
On MacBook devices with an M1 chipset, only one additional external monitor can be connected.

The USB4 Docking Station from DIGITUS® expands your notebook with 14 additional ports using just one USB-C™ connection. Among other features, it includes 1 x DisplayPort and 1 x HDMI video ports to connect a monitor, projector or TV. Thanks to dual monitor support, these can be operated simultaneously. Using Windows, a video signal can be output simultaneously on two different video ports (SST mode), and 2 different video signals can also be output on the 2 graphics ports (MST mode). Using macOS, only SST mode is supported. The remaining interfaces offer you connectivity to all common connections that a modern docking station needs to offer. For example a network connection, additional USB connections (USB-C™, USB-A), an audio output and two independent card readers. Using the integrated USB-C™ port with PD Charging, you can charge your notebook while using the docking station. The docking station also offers various USB-C and 3.0 ports for data transfer, connection of peripheral devices such as mouse and keyboard as well as charging of mobile devices.
